About James Shen
James Shen, as the Vice President of Qualcomm and Managing Director of Qualcomm Ventures, led China team to make investment into more than 50 startups including five unicorn companies such as Xiaomi, Thundersoft, Sensetime, Mobike and Netqin (2013). At Qualcomm, James was also appointed as the head of Qualcomm’s marketing department, and internet service department in China. He used to be the General Manager of the joint venture of Qualcomm and China Telecom during 2003-08. He has rich experience in entrepreneurship: He was founder/CEO of NeTrue Communication, which went public in Canada in 2000, and Vice President of Generate Photonics. James graduated from Annenberg School for Communications at USC, and Electronics College at Zhejiang University.
