【中国MBA教育网讯】Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS, also known as Guangwai), founded in 1965, is one of the prestigious universities in South China which specializes in international studies and educates professionals for international business and management. 2. International Faculty Team to Facilitate Multilevel International Communication.

We have an international practical faculty team of more than 100 people, with foreign professors taking up 25%. We enroll international students from 16 countries which include the United States, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, Ghana, Madagascar, Congo, Iran, Poland and others, forming a diverse student body. We also receive over 10 exchange students from other universities every year. As students from different countries discuss, study and live together, they can have cross-cultural communication, bringing about sparkles of ideas.

4. Local Practice to Sharpen Professional Competitive Edge.

Through platforms such as “MBA Forum”, “New Vision Lecture”, “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum”, “Professionals’ Forum”, “Career Development Workshop”, on which enterprise leaders and academia share their own experiences, students can apply what they have learned into practice and sharpen their professional competitive edge. We also organize activities for students to improve themselves, including enterprise consultation, “Mobile Class”, “Zhixing Field Trip”, Case Study Contest and Business Plan Contest, etc. Based on the international advantages of GDUFS, we have held a series of lectures and activities with characteristics of “cross-border e-commerce and international procurement”, including lectures on cross-border e-commerce, procurement salon, professional brokers lecture, professionals’ lectures of procurement and supply chain, etc., to provide students with multifaceted contents. We also offer second foreign language courses. Students can select the second foreign language they like, such as Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, etc.

5. AMBA International Accreditation to Highlight International Characteristics.

As one of the most authoritative international accreditations of management education, AMBA is an international accreditation system for MBA, as well as a passport for our school to become an internationally well-known school of business. It is acknowledged that AMBA only accreditates2% of the world’s high-level business schools, including business schools of Oxford University and Cambridge University. On May 14, 2015, MBA program of School of Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was officially accredited AMBA certification and became the 26th school of business on the Chinese Mainland, 225th in the world to obtain AMBA accreditation. Currently, MBA program of School of Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies has become one of the four business schools in Guangdong Province to obtain AMBA accreditation.

On May 14th, 2015, at the AMBA’s (Association of AMBAs) Global Conference for Deans and Directors in Prague, Czech, Prof. ZHU Wenzhong, Executive Dean of the School of Business, received the AMBA accreditation certificate from Sir Paul Judge, the Chairman of AMBA, which marks that the MBA program of the School of Business has met the criteria of AMBA and the School becomes No. 26 in China and No. 225 in the world an AMBA-accredited business school. In May 2018, the MBA program attained AMBA re-accreditation.

Requirements:

 (1) The applicant should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and comply with rules and regulations of GDUFS; Integrity, morality, diligence and self-motivation of the applicant are also required.   

 (2) International students should have registered in GDUFS with X1-Visa or X2-Visa, paid off their tuition fees and bought international student insurance as required; Within 30 days after entering China’s mainland, the applicant should have filled in the Registration Form of Temporary Residence for Visitors, and obtained their study visa or residence permits. Moreover, the applicant should have filled in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners as requested by Inspection and Quarantine Department of the People's Republic of China.

 (3) The quota of scholarship available is subject to the actual registered student’ numbers.

The applicant is not qualified for application under such circumstances:

 (1) The applicant is punished for violating Chinese laws and regulations or rules and regulations of GDUFS. The applicant brought negative impact or great loss to his/her class, MBA Project or SOB or GDUFS.

 (2) The applicant is during suspension of schooling, or his/her student status is in reservation for the application term.

 (3) The applicant does not pay tuition fees on time.

 (4) The applicant does not register and handle immigration procedures and visa as requested.

(5)The applicant cheats during the scholarship application process.

 (6) The applicant has records of failure in examinations.

 (7) The applicant violates relevant rules of MBA center’s teaching administration in terms of attendance, school assignment, etc.
