1. 参与中外合作办学项目的学生,申请西浦硕士时能否免除英语考核?
中外合作办学项目的学生在申请时仍需提供托福、雅思学术类或PTE学术类等西浦认可的英语考核成绩且考试日期不早于2022年1月1日。
2. 来自中外合办大学或海外本科的学生,申请西浦硕士时可以免除英语考核吗?
如果申请者符合以下条件之一,可免除英语要求 :
1) 西浦认可的英语母语国家的公民:
安提瓜和巴布达、澳大利亚、 巴哈马、 巴巴多斯、 伯利兹、加拿大、多米尼加、格林纳达、圭亚那、牙买加、新西兰、圣基茨和尼维斯、圣卢西亚、圣文森特和格林纳丁斯、特立尼达和多巴哥、美国、英国
2) 在西浦认可的英语母语国家完成并取得本科(海外学习满三年及以上;不包括中外合作办学项目)或研究生学位,且毕业时间不早于2022年1月1日。
3) 在海外完成并取得本科(海外学习满三年及以上;不包括中外合作办学项目)或研究生学位,并提供由毕业院校开具的全英文教学证明,且毕业时间不早于2022年1月1日。
4) 在以下高校完成并取得本科或研究生学位,且毕业时间不早于2022年1月1日:

由于今年我校硕士研究生专业申请竞争激烈,如你还未提交申请,请在提交申请时提供英语成绩。如你已提交申请,但暂时还未提供英语成绩,请尽早参加西浦认可的英语测试。
通常情况下,每年3-7月份是语言考试的高峰期,为避免考试席位被订满,建议合理规划参加英语测试的时间。我校英语先修课程非全日制班及全日制班的申请截止分别为2024年5月中下旬及6月中下旬,强烈建议申请人在英语先修课程申请截止前参加英语测试。

The industry-academia-research model at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) is distinctive. Firstly, our programmes are designed based on real industry needs, breaking traditional disciplinary boundaries and enabling interdisciplinary learning. Secondly, we integrate industry needs into the curriculum and closely combine classroom learning with real projects from enterprises and industries. This model allows students to integrate interdisciplinary knowledge and better solve industry problems, truly realizing industry-education integration for the future.
2. During their studies, do students truly achieve academic and industry integration? Also, can students from any undergraduate background apply to our master’s programmes?
At XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang), we uphold the Syntegrative Education approach, combining theoretical knowledge with real business environments, allowing students to learn in a synergistic setting and keep pace with industry developments. Regarding interdisciplinary applications, while our master’s programmes have relatively broad undergraduate background requirements, there still needs to be some relevance to the programme. For example, the MSc Advanced Robotics System integrates mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, and sensor systems, so students with undergraduate backgrounds related to these fields can apply. Overall, we value the student's technical foundation and future career planning.
3. Why does XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) incorporate leadership modules into every master’s programme, and how will students benefit from it?
Incorporating leadership module is at the core of our Syntegrative Education. Companies value not only technical expertise but also management, leadership, and innovation. Therefore, we have specifically included leadership components in our curriculum to meet the demand for high-end professionals. 4. The second-year practical project of the master’s programme is very rich. Can you detail the practical opportunities students can choose, and how does the university support and follow up on these?
In the second year of the master’s programme, we offer a wide range of practical project opportunities. Students can choose to work in an enterprises and deeply participate in real industry projects, collaborating with corporate teams to solve actual problems. This practical experience helps students understand industry operations and enhance their problem-solving abilities. Additionally, students can choose to engage in entrepreneurial project incubation or participate in research projects with professors at on-campus innovation platforms such as X3 Co-Venture and Innovation Factory. These projects cover various cutting-edge fields, providing students with a broad space for exploration.
To ensure that students receive ample support and follow-up during their practical experiences, we adopt a dual-mentor system. During enterprise practice, students are paired with an industry mentor who has extensive industry experience and professional knowledge to provide practical guidance. Simultaneously, the university assigns an academic mentor to oversee students' academic progress and provide necessary academic support. Both mentors jointly monitor the students’ practice process to ensure they gain the most from their experiences.

1. Can students in Sino-foreign cooperative education programs be exempted from English
proficiency tests when applying for XJTLU master’s programmes?
Students in Sino-foreign cooperative education programs still need to provide evidence of the level of English proficiency recognized by XJTLU, such as TOEFL, IELTS Academic, or PTE Academic, when applying. Exam dates must not be earlier than 1 January, 2022.
2. Can students from joint universities or with overseas undergraduate degrees be exempt from the English proficiency test when applying for XJTLU Master's programs?
You will qualify for an exemption from the English language requirement if one of the following applies to you:
1) You are a national of a majority English-speaking country:
Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, USA, UK
2) You have fully completed/are completing a degree in a majority English-speaking country (Chinese joint venture programmes are not included). Your degree shall be conferred no earlier than 1 January 2022.
3) You have fully completed/are completing a degree which has been taught and assessed in English (Chinese joint venture programmes are not included), and your degree shall be conferred no earlier than 1 January 2022 with an English proficiency letter issued by the institution. The English proficiency letter should:
-- be typed and printed on institutional letterhead
-- bear the seal/signature of the issuing authority
indicate your degree has been taught and assessed entirely in English
4) You have completed/are completing a degree from one of the universities listed below. Your degree shall be conferred no earlier than 1 January 2022:

3. Can graduates from English-taught universities in Southeast Asia, such as Singapore and Malaysia, be exempt from the English proficiency test when applying for XJTLU Master's programmes?
You have fully completed/are completing a degree which has been taught and assessed in English (Chinese joint venture programmes are not included), and your degree shall be conferred no earlier than 1 January 2022 with an English proficiency letter issued by the institution. The English proficiency letter should:

4. If I submitted my Master's application but forgot to apply for a scholarship, can I submit the scholarship application later?
It is recommended to apply for the scholarship at the same time as applying for the Master's programme. If omitted, the scholarship application can be submitted by 1 June, but the number of slots is limited, so early submission is advised.
5. When applying for a newly launched Master's programme, do I need to submit my English test scores immediately, or can I apply first and submit the scores later?
Due to the competitive nature of this year's Master's programme applications, please provide the evidence of the level of your English proficiency when submitting your application. If you have submitted your application but have not yet provided the evidence of the level of your English proficiency, please take an XJTLU-recognized English test as soon as possible.
Typically, the peak period for language exams is from March to July each year. To avoid fully booked exam slots, it is recommended to plan your test schedule reasonably. The application deadlines for our part-time and full-time English preparatory courses are mid to late May and mid to late June 2024, respectively. It is strongly recommended that applicants take the English test before the application deadlines for the English preparatory courses.
